Perry Mathis

Cason Tyler Communities was founded in 1997 by Perry Mathis. He has over 17 years of real estate experience, primarily concentrated in land acquisition, entitlement and development.

After receiving a degree in Economics from Duke University, Mr. Mathis spent four years in commercial banking before returning to Duke's Fuqua School of Business, where he earned a Masters of Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Real Estate. After graduation Mr. Mathis spent ten years as an executive with Trammell Crow Company, Kaufman & Broad Homes and Presley Homes (all large, publicly traded development companies) and was involved in the acquisition and development of over 12,000 residential lots and numerous commercial projects.

Mr. Mathis is a registered General Contractor and a licensed Real Estate Broker in Arizona, and is a Member of the Urban Land Institute.

David Fretz

Dave Fretz partnered with Perry Mathis in 1998 and has added significant depth to the management team. He brings over 20 years of real estate experience and unparalleled market knowledge to each transaction.

An Arizona native, Mr. Fretz left the contracting business in 1984 and joined his father George Fretz in the family real estate business. Concentrating primarily on land brokerage to homebuilders and developers, he gained insightful knowledge into each particular residential submarket. In 1992 he created his own firm, Fretz Realty & Investments, and through his work he developed important relationships with property owners and investors and utilized those relationships to form his own investment partnerships. Now teamed with Mr. Mathis, his relationships and local market knowledge have proved invaluable.

Mr. Fretz is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Arizona.
